This location Mirakel is situated in a lovely location in Amsterdam Buitenveldert. The spacious and light-filled building was designed and built in 1999 specifically as a nursery. This is clearly evident from its playful exterior and the spacious natural garden at the side and rear of the building. Here, the children can crawl through a tunnel or climb over it. There is also a large sandpit, a small outdoor kitchen and a children’s shop. The baby groups have a specially enclosed play area next to the toddler playground. The older babies can slide down a small slide, whilst the little ones can lie quietly in the shade on a blanket in summer or play happily in their own sandpit.

Throughout the year, Mirakel works with themes linked to various craft and activity sessions. For example, craft projects around the major holidays, such as Christmas, Easter and Mother’s Day, as well as the ‘springtime’ theme. We explore these themes in all sorts of different ways within the groups and as part of the Pyramid Method for the Toddler Plus children.
